How to overcome anxiety
Although our worries are an inbuilt defense mechanism against the threats that come about in life, sometimes we are not able to switch off the 'anxiety button' and react in a stressful manner. Yet there are ways through therapy and counseling that we can attain composure and learn methods to avoid being overly stressful in the future.
How to overcome depression
The causes of depression can be very different depending on the nature and circumstances of each person. However, people can experience various symptoms like emptiness, guilt, disinterest, melancholy, lack of sleep, isolation from everyone, lack of concentration or inability to make the right decisions. A lot of times people feel "it's just a low feeling that will go away itself" but the delay in asking for help may cause further problems.
Couple break up
A breakup in a relationship, especially the one that become the crux of our existence can come as a shock and devastation. There are mixed feelings of disbelief, anguish, anger and sadness, even doubting ourselves over the doing of the other. In these circumstances we need someone who can guide us through these tough and dark times, to show us the light in that cave of disparity.
Abusive relationship
A lot of people tolerate an abusive relationship, whether it is a physical or mental one, with the hope that somehow, someday this shall all change and there will be a new begining. Yet what they need to do is state the facts out and see for themselves if there are chances of recuperation. At times people are too sensitive and lable a relationship as abusive without relaxing that most relations require a certain degree of tolerance and adjustment.
Couples counseling
When egos clash, people become blind towards the viewpoint of the other, deaf towards the other's reasoning. In these situations, rather than using anger to lash at each other and only finding faults to further ruin the weakened link, it's important to take step back rather than confrontation. A common person who can act as a mediator can be a wise option to reconcile the differences.
Low self-esteem
With so much competition and standards that have been set up by the society, the common person tries to live up to an image which just seems to thwart the existing abilities of many, making them doubt themselves. They could be in the wrong jobs, listening to the wrong people, living unrealistic expectations or not getting the right guide that can boost their self-confidence and morale.
Overcoming the death of a loved one
Whenever life comes to an end, it's not the end of just the person who seizes to exist, but least behind a disharmony in the lives of those who have been a part of the person who is no more. The loss of the loved one can be one of the hardest hitting tragedies a mind can take. Apart from needing a listening ear, we need to see the realities of life through someone who can tell us the spiritual realities and guide us through wisdom to be able to cope up with the ultimate realities such as death.
How to overcome emotional dependence
We are all social beings that somehow need to rely on each other for our existence. Yet sometimes we become so dependent on certain people in life, that the moment they become indifferent, we become emotionally unstable. How to be able to find a balance? How to have a dependence on others and yet be so independent inside that any shift in paradigm of life will not sway us from our strong individuality?
Sleep disorders
Sleep is one of the most important natural medicines prescribed by nature. Lack of quality of sleep can lead to so many issues such as anxiety, stress or even depression dead people become addicted to medication instead of finding a simple solution to their sleeping disorders. A sleeping disorder could be physical, which needs a guidance to how to have a certain routine and things to avoid which can be disruptive in our sleeping habits. But it could also be something in our mind that we haven't really explored that could be the cause of lack of sleep which we need to really correct if we want to have a healthy and happier life.
Problems with growing up children
A generation gap is not only the difference between the age of parents and children, but the difference between how they perceive life, from the age where they are standing. As parents we want the best for our children but when our good advice falls on deaf ears, we want to find some ways to be able to reach out to them. Yet dealing with them in anguish or always using the parental card or relating to them as our parents related to us may not necessarily work. We need to find more adaptive ways to be able to deal with our growing up children in these modern times, understanding the cultural differences and the religious affiliations.
Overthinking and stressful personality
Worrying is not necessarily a bad thing because we have survived as humans so far thanks to our ability to worry and avoid stressful situations. If we were not alert about future problems that we could foresee, we would have never advanced. Yet sometimes we worry too much, do the extent that we end up having a personality that does not know how to stop worrying about everything - future, children, work, securities. We need to let go just to be able to have a more relaxed experience of this tiny little life we have.
Coping up with changing times
If there is something that is constant in life it is change and the person who is not able to adapt to change may find him or herself always at a tug of war with people or situations. In the past decade so many things that we relied upon as necessities, such as pagers and public phone booths have become obsolete. But these are nothing as compared to the changes that come about in relationships and the thinking of people and how we need to tune ourselves to be able to cope with The changing times.
